Coconut Delights from the United States Regional Cookbook, 1947
Coconut Delights - One of the photos shows the small amount of ingredients needed - I think these are better while hot (possibly because they were deep fried), but will update after they've been sitting - Jim will eat anything hot or cold - I used a small pot and I used lard - the book is The United States Regional Cookbook 1947 - it has so many simple recipes that I have never heard of and I have the orange scones marked to make in a few days -
If you decide to make these - they are best hot - I would make them in the morning for a fun, light snack for company - maybe serve some orange marmalade on the side
